Pillar Grant Program

Programs, Innovation, Leadership, Learning, and Recreation

We exist to bridge the gap between what public funding can provide and what Columbus families, youth, and communities deserve — so every resident has access to the parks and programs that make life better.

Strengthening Columbus Community Centers Through Innovation and Opportunity

The PILLAR Grant Program, short for Programs, Innovation, Leadership, Learning, and Recreation, is a new initiative from the Columbus Recreation and Parks Foundation designed to strengthen the programs and services offered at community centers across Columbus.

By providing direct funding to Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) community centers, the PILLAR Grant Program enhances programming, expands access, and strengthens the role of community centers as safe, welcoming spaces for all.

What is the PILLAR Grant Program?

Grants support initiatives that:

  • Enhance existing programs or introduce new opportunities

By investing in these areas, the Foundation ensures that every community center has the tools and resources needed to serve residents effectively and equitably.
