Foundation Programs

Adopt a Center

Each holiday season, generous groups, organizations, businesses and individuals make the holiday season brighter for those in need in our community through the Adopt a Center program (AAC). Sponsors ‘adopt’ a community center and provide gifts and meals that are distributed at a group meal, holiday party or other community event.

PLAY Scholarship Fund

The PLAY Scholarship Fund was created because the City of Columbus believes all kids deserve the chance to play regardless of ability to pay. Financially-challenged families with children 18 years and younger can apply for a PLAY Scholarship for any fee-based program offered through Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.

Champions for PLAY Golf Outing

The Champions for PLAY golf outing attracts business leaders and sponsors from a variety of industries to enjoy a full day of golfing activities, continental breakfast, lunch reception and beverages. The continued success of this special event relies on corporate sponsorship which enables 100 percent of the golfers’ fees to go directly to the PLAY Scholarship Fund.
